The purpose of this environmental management plan is to explain benefits of solar power and the impacts to reduce the adverse environmental effects on the local and global environment. Solar power has an impact on the immediate and surrounding environment as well as the global environment by mitigating harm for the environment by reducing the need for local communities to rely on fossil fuels and other non-renewable sources of energy production. There is also a legal transition from governments to curb their fossil fuel use to impact global climate change and pollution prevention, that facilitates the need to utilize solar panels in the future. Solar panels provide a visual reminder of the need to move away from non-renewable sources of energy production.

Environmental management provides management measures, controls, resources, and responsibilities of future installations of solar panels, both for residential and business applications. Environmental management plans describe how an action might impact on the natural environment in which it occurs and set out clear commitments from the person taking action on how those impacts will be avoided, minimized and managed so that they are environmentally acceptable. Environmental legislation in the Republic of Macedonia established following national and international standards and regulations.

Land Use

Solar energy facilities require large areas of land for solar radiation collection to generate energy. Solar facilities impact existing land uses, including agricultural uses, military uses, mineral production, and natural protected areas. It is essential for solar facilities to minimize the impact on the land uses. Appropriate site assessments can mitigate the disturbance of land and lower their impacts. The clearing of large areas of land impacts native flora and fauna. It is essential for solar facilities to reduce the impact by selecting areas that have less effect on the local ecological community.

Soil,Water and Air

Construction of solar facilities requires clearing and grading land. These operations could result in soil compaction. Drainage is impacted by the change in the topography and could affect the soil quality and erosion in the area. It is essential for the design of the solar facility to minimize the negative impacts on the soil. The installation of solar facilities includes a possible impact on the surface and groundwater. Chemicals are used in the installation, collection, storage, and transportation of the energy collected in these facilities. Appropriate spill prevention and pollution reduction procedures are in place to mitigate the possibility of negatively affecting the water resources in and around the solar facility. Air quality is a significant issue for the local and global community. Burning fossil fuels creates pollution for the air we breathe. Constructing solar facilities will reduce the need for fossil fuels over the long term and reduce the air pollution around the world.
